Purchasing and Project Evaluation

Magnesium alloy thick plate is selected by alloy, production route, thickness, machining allowance and service conditions. The current product range covers cast and open-die forged plate, with AZ91D and ZK61 among the commonly requested grades. Other grades and dimensions are evaluated against project requirements.

Information to include with an RFQ

  • Alloy grade or required mechanical and thermal performance
  • Length, width, thickness and quantity
  • Dimensional tolerance, flatness and surface requirements
  • Machining allowance and final application
  • Inspection, documentation, packaging and delivery requirements

Delivery planning

Availability, production route and lead time are confirmed after specification review. If the plate will be machined into tooling, fixtures or structural parts, include the finished-part drawing so that allowance and inspection points can be reviewed before quotation.

Send the complete specification for a project-specific availability and quotation response.

Applications

Industrial tooling and fixtures, automotive and new-energy vehicle structures, battery housings, aerospace and rail components, robotics frames, electronics structures and equipment panels requiring low weight, damping or machinability.

MOQ

Evaluated by alloy, dimensions, production route and order quantity

Lead time

Confirmed after grade, size, tolerance and availability review

Packaging

Moisture-protected export packaging with edge and surface protection, adapted to plate size

FAQ

What thickness range is available for magnesium alloy thick plate?

The listed range is 10–200 mm. Exact length, width, tolerance and availability are confirmed after specification review.

Which magnesium alloys are commonly supplied as thick plate?

AZ91D and ZK61 are among the commonly requested grades. Other magnesium alloy grades can be evaluated according to the application, production route and required properties.

Is the plate cast or forged?
